Mike Ozekhome, lawyer to Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose, has hailed acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu.
Ozekhome said on Monday, March 27 that Ibrahim Magu is a man with ‘a large heart’ and ‘a man of integrity’ that he has known for ages.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria noted that the EFCC under Magu is doing just fine.
He said:“Magu’s EFCC seized my money but still invited me to this summit. That shows a large heart.
“I have known Magu since 1997. He is a man on integrity.
“The fight against corruption must never be selective. There should be no sacred cows.
“The international community will never respect us if we do not respect the rule of law.
“Corruption is the 37th State in Nigeria. It is still the richest and wealthiest state in Nigeria.”
On his part, Magu said the summit was to allow sharing of ideas on how firght corruption better.
He said: “No view will be deemed too radical; no idea too foolish. In the coming hours, we hope for a cross-fertilization of ideas.
“No single individual has a monopoly of ideas on how to fight corruption.”
