Pictures of Nigerian journalist and blogger, Kemi Olunloyo and a Port Harcourt-based publisher, Samuel Walson in prison custody have surfaced online after about two weeks of being behind bars over charges bordering on defamation of a prominent Nigerian.

The 52 year old mother of 3 was pictured wearing the custom green prison gown and a bathroom slippers as she took a walk with an inmate assumed to be Samuel Walson.

It was gathered  last week that the absence of Magistrate Alatuwo Fubara of the Magistrates’ Court in Port Harcourt, who was expected to preside over the matter, forced them to stay back in prison custody.

According to Punch, Olunloyo and Walson were arrested for purportedly publishing materials believed to have defamed a front-line cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, of the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt.

The magistrate was said to have been unable to come to the court due to ill health.

Kemi Olunloyo, a Canadian deportee has continued to languish behind bars pending on her bail hearing scheduled for today.
