Reports in RMC Sport claim that the Blues have started talks with Sanchez’s agent regarding a move to the Stamford Bridge during the next summer transfer window amid interest from Paris Saint Germain who are also believed to be in the race to sign the 28-year-old.

Arsene Wenger has however come out to dismiss such claims with his latest message, clearing the air about Sanchez imminent departure. The Frenchman said: ‘He has one and a half years left on his contract – I don’t see what’s new,
‘We are professional football people. Our job is to perform as long as were somewhere. When I sign a contract I commit to it until the final day.

‘I do not understand the anxiety. It’s denying what the professional guy is about.’

Alexis Sanchez was quoted last week by a Chilean outlet that he wants to remain in London, but with a winning team, which further fuelled speculations that he fancies a move to the Stamford Bridge.
