Suspected Assassins Raid Olisa Metuh’s Abuja Home, Police Launches Investigation

New reports indicate that the home of embattled former PDP national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh was raided last night by armed men suspected to be assassins.

The armed men, who were about eight in number, reportedly broke into Metuh’s home located at Prince and Princess Estate in Abuja after destroying a section of its spiked security fence, PM News reports.

Special Assistant to Olisa Metuh, Richard Ihediwa, released a statement today on the incident. According to him, the suspects tried to forcefully gain access into the main building after tying up the security guards and drivers but were unable to as a result of the security doors.

When they could not gain access into the main building, they beat up the security guards and ordered them at gunpoint to call out Chief Metuh using their phones, but the guards insisted that he was not at home but had traveled to the east.” Ihediwa stated.

Unfortunately, the men successfully broke into other buildings in the premises including Metuh’s out-office and absconded with some documents and electronic equipment.

Chief Metuh, who is currently on trial for his alleged role in diverting N4oomillion of public funds, has already filed a police report to apprehend the perpetrators.

The  police has launched an investigation into the incident.
